This is a piano version of a march for two clarinets, two bassoons and two horns. A further version is used in the Grenadiermarsch for mechanical organ (Hess 107 = Hob. XIX:25), which adapts also a march for the same wind instruments by Joseph Haydn (Hob. VIII:6).
