Sketches, Anh. III/15

Around the time of the late piano pieces (opp. 116–119, 1892–1893), Brahms copied a set of nine further short sketches for solo piano. These are found in the collection of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde (A 121) and are given in the McCorkle catalogue under Anh. III/15. The versions here are based on the transcriptions by George Bozarth (Paths not taken: The ‘Lost’ Works of Johannes Brahms; Music Review 50/3–4, 1989).
