Frédéric Chopin

Variation for Hexaméron, KK IIb/2

1837 · Chomiński 230 · Brown 113

Hexaméron is a joint work by Chopin, Franz Liszt, Sigismond Thalberg, Johann Peter Pixis, Henri Herz and Carl Czerny. Each composer provided a variation on Suoni la tromba from Vincenzo Bellini’s opera I puritani; Liszt edited these and added an introduction, finale and three interludes to create a cohesive work. Chopin contributed the sixth variation.
