This is an arrangement by Chopin of part of the Mazurka Dąbrowskiego, a well-known song that later became the Polish national anthem. Chopin’s arrangement is eight-bars long and incomplete, but can work effectively if repeated and concluded on the final B-flat major chord. The Kobylańska catalogue describes this piece as lost, but this is no loner the case.
