Fauré wrote the sicilienne for cello and piano (N 140a), and orchestrated it for his incidental music to Le Bourgeois gentilhomme (N 118) and Pelléas et Mélisande (op. 80; N 142). A contemporary arrangement for solo piano (N 140b) is perhaps also by Fauré.
