This is an arrangement of the first, third and sixth movements of Johann Sebastian Bach’s partita no. 3 for solo violin (BWV 1006). Bach also arranged the partita for lute-harpsichord or harpsichord, and made orchestrations of the prélude for the sinfonias to the cantatas Wir danken dir, Gott, wir danken dir (BWV 29) and Herr, Gott, Beherrscher aller Dinge (BWV 120a).
